It's truly truly outrageous

This morning I went to the monthly Saturday morning cereal party at my local Alamo Drafthouse. This month's cartoon was THE GREATEST CARTOON OF ALL TIME, Jem and the Holograms. Today's event was fhosted by the lovely Dames of the Roundtable, and the special guest was Samantha Newark, voice of Jem and Jerrica.

As soon as I saw this event online, I knew I had to go. I love Jem. I love cereal. And this whole event was an excuse to wear obscenely bright colors (as if I need an excuse). And Samantha Newark was going to be there. How could I not go?

Samantha Newark is just as lovely and kind as Jem and Jerrica are in the cartoon. She autographed all three of my Jem choose your own adventure books and she took pictures with absolutely everyone. And her mom was there helping her and taking pictures, so it was a family affair!

I loved it all, and being able to go and share this experience with good friends and fellow Jem fans was awesome.
