Chantler's April 2014 Shakespeare Challenge - The Merchant of Venice

There are a number of themes to this play - mercy, and avarice. It is one of the plays which warns against a love of money.

So here is my representation; the manicured nails (as well as I can do them), with a fistful of grasped coins. Life is worth far more than that - as we all know, coins dont' actually go very far these days. A smile and kind action go far further.
