Pedal on Parliament

Huge crowds of happy cyclists gathered in the Meadows at noon today for the 2014 Pedal on Parliament. We were happy because it wasn't raining, because there were thousands of us, and because the new cycle counter in the Meadows was installed just in time. Our slow meandering route took us on roads closed to traffic and down the Royal Mile. It was lovely to see so many kids out on their bikes, cycling down roads which would ordinarily be near impossible for little ones because of other traffic.

Afterwards a large group of us found a cafe and had a lovely afternoon.
