Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright

One of the smoke detectors has reached the end of its life and was beeping away this morning.

There was an electrical burning smell in the kitchen and the boiler isn't working.

What else could go wrong?

After looking after squirrel while The Cygnet went to his new swimming club (which he loved) and having lunch SWMBO and I took The Cygnet with us to Glasgow.
There was a big cruise event at Barrhead travel where there were loads of 'great deals'.
No there weren't!
Well not from what we were presented with anyway. The best price they could give us was the one in the brochure - which is higher than the one quoted when SWMBO phoned them.
The girl was trying to say that flight days were not part of the holiday!!! (I didn't understand that one at all).
They were even trying to push a 'special deal' flight from Glasgow instead of Manchester which would cost at least £100 more per person due to surcharges.

The only good thing about it was The Cygnets face painting which was done in double quick time while the salesgirl tried to rob us.
