Siam Cup juniors

Took my nephew down to Footes Lane for home to see a few of his De La Salle school mates who were playing against us in the Siam Cup Junior matches.

Guernsey hosted the day's events that began with u7s and finished with u18s, all gsy v Jsy.

We are very lucky to have such fantastic facilities down at Footes Lane- rugby club, hockey club, memorial field and grammar school field too.

A very good day for all involved, despite gsy losing most of their games. Rugby is much stronger in general in Jsy, with many professional players involved in the set up. However, from talking to a couple of gsy teams, it seems that they had made progress since last year:-)

Not my game at all, I wouldn't last a minute in the pitch and just end up black & blue & in a million pieces. However, it was interesting trying to pick up the game.

Recognised a few ex pupils in the older categories and this blip is a team talk of u11s in the middle of their game.

The Siam Cup, adult gsy-Jsy inter-insular takes place in a week or two.
