Feed me I'm hungry........

Since my Easter Parade blip we have had some excitement in our house today, the first chick hatched for our resident Blackbird.

This beautiful blind, bald and helpless little thing is now being fed by the mother. The female blackbird has been away from the nest a few times today and I managed to get this shot as she flew back with a worm for the chick.

I have not seen the male Blackbird today, but I am sure he will be around to help with the feeding of the chicks.

I will hopefully be able to give you an update on the progress of all the chicks. We are very privileged to have such an intimate view of these beautiful birds.
