Thoughtful

Another day at Cafe TMC. Today, we have an ecumenical problem. The Catholic Priest gave us permission to put our banner on their property, advertising Cafe TMC, an ecumenical project based at the Methodist Church. Today, I discover that people are outraged at the banner and have taken photographs, complained to Father Keith and are in uproar. I think tears have been shed over it.

Whilst I spend my time stroking wounded egos and apologising profusely about banners being in the wrong place, people are dying in Syria, children are dying from malaria, malnutrition and dirty water. And people wonder why the church is empty.

This is Jane, one of the Catholic friends in Blakeney who thinks the banner is a wonderful statement of active faith and churches working together.
