Self Service
I took a morning off from painting and went to visit my Brother in Marlow. He has been feeding the red kites for some years now and has constructed a platform on the hedge at the bottom of the garden to put the food on. If you don't look up at them, they come down whilst you're putting the scraps out and you can feel the air move as they swoop past you. A cheeky magpie got in on the feast too.
We had to go to to the supermarket to buy extra food for them, as they are partial to cheese and chicken. They must be the best fed birds in the UK and it's no wonder that they are becoming so prolific.
My lens got soaked, as you can see from the image but it was worth it.
Back to the painting this afternoon and then I need to frame it before tomorrow night.
