Honest Manual Work

I love gadgets and machinery. I would dearly love to have had a digger and dumper truck to move the 4 or so tonnes of stone that was left over from the patio to where it will be used for the garage floor. But there is a certain satisfaction of getting stuck in with a shovel and wheelbarrow. Sweat on the brow, the slow diminishing of a pile of stone, the slow growth of a new pile. And at the end of it all, a job well done, an endorphin rush and a blister. I'll pay for it tomorrow. But this evening the sun sets on my efforts.
