TGI Friday. No, not the fast food restaurant, just my sentiment about it being the end of the week. After yesterday's travel roller-coaster, today was a quieter, head-down, pound-the-keyboard kind of day. The visit of a cheery young engineer to mend our malfunctioning power shower was a welcome afternoon diversion. Until, that is, he discovered a leak from the cold water tank and a near-seized water stop-cock. So now we have a power shower happily restored to full function, and a plumber booked for Monday.

Our dog Bentley was delighted to have a full house of his favourite humans at home to fuss over him, plus a dog-loving engineer as an added diversion. Just as well, as the weather wasn't really ideal for a hyperactive Pointer to have his usual long walk.
