Another perfect day in Joshua Tree N.P. Walked to an old disused mine. It must have been an unimaginably hard life - little protection from the harsh sun until you're underground and then absolutely backbreaking labour.

Amongst the old mine buildings and contraptions were a number of old cars. The dry desert air means that they've been pretty well preserved.
