Cinnamon Teal In Pond

What a grand morning...my first cinnamon teal, and right in my own backyard!! I was shocked to see this pair of ducks waddling toward the pond....I grabbed my camera and ran out the back and got a few shots before they flew off. They are truly one of the most beautiful ducks I've ever seen...the color is so striking, and they are so sleek!

We also had a pair of wood ducks, and one was actually in the hanging bird feeder....this is the first time I've seen the wood ducks in our backyard pond!!! An amazing start to the day, a day I always remember as my Dad was born today in 1925. Although he's not with us anymore, he is never far away.
