Waking up at 3am I headed outside to get some shots of the Milky Way.

Star photos were going to prove difficult this trip with the moon being almost full, moon rising in the afternoon and not setting until almost dawn and the Milky Way itself not being in greatest of positions most of the time.

Here you can see the Milky Way rising between the Joshua Trees while the sun is starting to light up the clouds on the horizon.
