John Buchan

Today I started my new career (although at one half day a month volunteering it won't be taxing - in either sense of the word!)

As a welcomer at the in Peebles High Street. I've read John Buchan and enjoyed him for years - and lots more to read. This morning I answered the phone and ended up booking a group of 32 visitors from Ireland to come in May. So I'm feeling a bit smug - good street creed earned in day one.

Any John Buchan readers? Just to say that my favourites of his derring-do thrillers are based around Dickson McCunn, not Richard Hannay.
