Progress

A number of months ago, each house was delivered a letter by the council asking us to cut back any plants that spilled over our boundary as they wanted to replace the footpaths. As I explained a couple of days ago, many of the trees were also earmarked for removal.

At the end of our road was a humongous conifer hedge which encroached so far over the public path it rendered it impassable. The council took matters into their own hands today, cutting this beast right back in preparation for the upcoming renovation. I can see the owners being a bit upset at the state they have left it in, but we were all warned it was coming...
