787 Dreamliner

I'm off to Houston again. Today I got to ride as a passenger and I'll be working a flight back to London on Saturday. This is my first time on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I'm not yet qualified on this plane but I look forward to working it one day!

The exterior of this aircraft is made up of 50% composite materials which, along with the streamlined aerodynamic design, makes it extremely fuel efficient. The cabin is 60% quieter with more oxygen in the cabin and has much higher ceilings, making it feel even more spacious. There are numerous enhanced systems and interior features. I think the coolest of the new features are the large passenger windows. Instead of window shades, there is an adjustable tint which one can dim from fully transparent to opaque.
