First day of summer

The First day of summer is a holiday here in Iceland and these two girls were enjoying the weather like so many others today. Temperature 17°C, almost clear blue sky and no wind.

It´s a good sign and a saying here that if the Last day of winter - Síðasti Vetrardagur - and the First day of summer - Sumardagurinn fyrsti - "freeze together" the summer will be great with warm weather and sunny days. Hope so :)
