Our apple tree in all its glory
I'll never pass by an opportunity to photograph our apple tree, such a beautiful old tree and so productive come the end of August.
A pretty straighforward sort of day today. A run in the morning around the golf course and Woodland Trust followed by a few hours work on the Prison contract. Light relief at the allotment where we weeded and hoed to keep on top of the little weed seedlings which sprout easier than the seeds we sow.
We've built a line of compost bins on our plot but some thoughtless plot holder decided to dump all their grass clumps and perenial weeds on one of the bins we were using to create good compost. Yuk - I had to move it to another of our bins which we were keeping just for all our uncompostible rubbish. Now it's full of their stuff with no room for ours. I wish I knew who it was, then they could get it all back. Had to resort to putting a sign on our bins to say they were ours and not for general use.
