The cast is off!

I really should not have used this photo since it makes me feel rather squeamish every time I try to look at it. But it's real and journalling is about real life with all the good and bad things that happen, right?

At this moment I still had the stitches in and the hand had not been washed, so it all looks a bit worse than it actually is.
Now I just have to squeeze my hand and move all those parts a few hundred times every day until I regain former strength and mobility. Hard work and very painful, but hopefully it'll get better day by day.
