Look on my works, ye mighty ...
Times change. My local mosque used to be an Anglican church and is slowly undergoing a transformation. The stained glass has all gone now, sadly just thrown in a skip although I guess the lead was salvaged. It's been replaced by sheets of opaque corrugated acrylic. The graveyard has been 'tidied up' with varying degrees of appreciation from local residents, and I don't think the Arabic signs outside (which I can't read) are announcing the Harvest Festival (but perhaps some equivalent). One thing that is still there and will be hard to change is the external architecture: this door has 'church' stamped all over it, and the statuary (unless removed) will always say Christian church. I shall watch the building's progress.
