Lake Cycle Idyll

Cycling on the Grapevine Lake Trail. Fresh from an exhilarating ride in North Carolina I launched myself into the familiar labyrinth of trails South of Grapevine lake. Unfortunately I had forgotten just how technical some parts were. Not many minutes past this peaceful scene. My front wheel and a local rock met as one immovable object and I fell unceremoniously to the ground.

Thankfully, only a couple of bruised ribs and slightly dented ego meant I escaped lightly. My afternoon's slight misadventure did not detract from a fun ride in the spring green of Texas!
