Bread Ladies
It was too much to expect of ourselves that we'd get up when the alarm went off early this morning; in fact, we needed another two hours sleep.
I then spent a couple of hours deep cleaning our room in the apartment, as, although it does get cleaned every week, this room gets a tad neglected when no-one's occupying it. And the apartment's huge. Add that to the pollution of Cairo and the fact that the cleaning lady wouldn't last a week if she were with me in Barcelona and you get the idea. Don't get me wrong...it looks clean enough, but it isn't....and it's not healthy to be breathing in all that grime.
I left Bb to take over when I went into the school at 2.30pm and was there until 9.30pm. It was nice seeing so many of our teacher trainees from previous courses now employed at the BC on their trainee teachers' programme! More to do tomorrow and Saturday (our weekend) to start on Sunday, but inroads were made today. There's only so much prep can be done in advance from Barcelona. When I got back, Bb had done an amazing job in finishing our room!
We went out for a late bite to eat and sampled some of the bread these ladies were making at the M Hotel. We'll be more organised with food shopping over the weekend.
