A55
An early evening journey home to Wales, arriving just as the sun was setting.
This is the point at which we leave the A55, upgraded in the 80s as part of the Trans-European road network to facilitate the movement of vehicles to and from Ireland via the port of Holyhead. Within a few metres we've left the speed oriented space of economists and transport planners and are slowing into hedgerow bounded lanes; our destination near the hills on the horizon.
One night at my Mum's before retreating to Cheshire for a few days in a caravan as the last part of our Easter break.
It should be apparent that I was, as always, in the passenger seat.
