Montana
So, every year on these Lanzarote trips I always go for a walk up Montana Roja and today was that day. Bus to the base and then walk up the side, around the rim, down into the caldera and then up and out and back down again. And then I decided I'd walk home but not the scenic way. For a change. And it was when I got about two thirds of the way home that I was actually kind of wishing that our villa was a bit nearer to town because if it was I'd have already been home. Let's just say that I was rather tired by the time I got back and the pool was incredibly welcoming.
Headed back into town in the evening with the girls so they could spend a few more Euros on souvenir type stuff and by the time we'd done that and eaten and done a few bits and bobs it was about ten by the time we got back. And I thought it would be A Good Idea if we stuck on the pool lights and all went for a swim to finish the day off. After a couple of minutes I realised that was actually quite A Bad Idea as my girls got a bit over-excited, ended up going completely hyper and I think we may have actually gone to bed before they did in the end. But they'll have a big lie-in in the morning, no? Isn't that how it works?
Today's music.
