Song Thrush

A walk under some dark clouds at Ladybower Reservoir revealed some nice birds including lots of happy Swallows flying through a barn.

The highlights were a pair of Redstart ( just too far away for a photo ) and Common Sandpiper more birds back from Africa included Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.

This local bird - The Song Thrush - wins the prize of my photo of the day by being the best model and staying nice and still for its moment through the lens.

The roads were quiet but there were plenty of people out riding bikes, running, walking, fishing and playing with their children.
