Patterns In The Sand

I joined the masses today and made a trip out west to watch the sunset. At any one time I could count at least ten people with their mobile phones, or pocket cameras, in the air ... There were also some more serious photographers with tripods and big lenses making the most of moment, but on the whole the majority of people were just soaking up the atmosphere of a lovely spring evening on the beach ...

It's strange, however (or maybe it isn't), how the drain water from the land - as it runs down the beach - can make such uniform patterns in the sand ... either way, it makes an unusual addition to an otherwise fairly common scene ... :o)
