Murder on the 5.00 to Seamer
Today we visited Greenway, the holiday home of
Agatha Christie. The house is in a superb position overlooking the
River Dart and has a large woodland garden which is also open to the
public. This old bus is used as one way of getting to the property
from Paignton; I commented to W that when I was a kid one of these was
still in service (on the Seamer 'S' route, for those who know where I'm
from!) but she just said I must be really old. Afterwards we had a
trip on the steam railway from Paignton to Dartmouth travelling in the
observation car which originally dated back to 1921 although it was
only converted to an observation car after the war. It's been a lovely
week in Devon but it's time to head home tomorrow.
