Early Morning Fritillary Sunbathing

Butterflies are all on a mission, hardly stopping to feed but this little fritillary (can anyone identify him?) must have just hatched and was drying his wings in the morning sunshine.

Suddenly it really is early summer here at 600m. This afternoon, within half an hour, I had photographed 6 species of orchid out on Flickr if you are interested in wild orchids. Our village is quite famous for its orchids so you may be seeing some in the next few days.
