...saffron and amazingly growing in my veggie patch!

I bought the corms/bulbs?? from Sunday markets Angus (he of the olive oil, guinea fowl eggs and saffron stall) and when they started sprouting in the paper bags it was obviously time to plant out.

Such a thrill as green and thumb are not two words normally combined to describe my gardening endeavours.
They must be hardy beasties!!
