Doha Day 61
With temperatures in the late 30s instead of cooler 20s we enjoyed a few weeks ago, I think it must be summer now although it seems like summer all the time here. Doha has a lot of greenery, we are discovering. Here on our compound there are certainly summery sounds of sprinklers, hedge cutters and lawn mowers filling the morning air. There are many flowering shrubs which attract insects and so the birds are happy and increasing in numbers here. The birdsong is loud and a family of bulbuls live in the trees in our garden. Doha is "greening up" like a big oasis in the desert.
I wasn't very pleased with this photo so went back to take a better one only to find that the tree had been severely pruned, it's lovely flowers all gone. The insects were very upset and so was I!
