While most of the East Coast spent the day digging out from up to 25 inches (64 cm) of snow that fell last night and today, our part of New England got off easy -- we only had to shovel a mere 9-10 inches (23-25 cm).

While Mr DH took care of the driveway, I took a shovel to the pond out back. Underneath the fluffy, dry snow was perfect skating ice. It was worth every sore muscle and the bruised backside to spend the afternoon shoveling and skating.
