Maple and Kerria

Two days ago, the Maple was little more than buds on almost bare twigs. It has suddenly come out and is displaying its gorgeous red colour. Behind it is some of our Kerria: its yellow flowers have been out for some time, but it has done far far better this year than in the past.

In the garden a good year so far and lots of promise for the coming months.
