Kit Hill

Most of the day spent round the house, catching up with a bit of cleaning and finishing off preparing files for the website. After tea, the sky began to clear and I went out to take some pictures. I went down to the river, but all the way I had the nagging feeling that I should have been going in the opposite direction - up on to the moor, as there were some really spectacular clouds towering into the sky.

Down by the river, the sky cleared on the western horizon and the sun just sank without much fuss, lighting up the edges of some clouds, but not the whole sky. I took some okay shots, but this one was about the best. It shows the monument on top of Kit Hill, very much a local landmark which can be seen from miles around in all directions.

There is a good forecast for tomorrow, so I will try to get out early. Mind you, I have have tried a few times over the last couple of weeks, but while the spirit was willing, the body turned over and went back to sleep. I'll see how I get on in the morning!
