A wee bird.

Caught on camera by Mr G when he stopped at service station in Cumbria this afternoon.

He sent me the photo to ask what kind of bird he was sharing his lunch with.

I didn't know.

I had to look it up and I think it's a male red backed shrike. It's now virtually extinct with only 1 - 3 breeding pairs in the UK and 250 pairs that pass through the UK.

So if it is this bird, then wow!
