A Old Photograph

Rowfant Signal Box closed on the 2nd January 1967 (along with the whole line from Three Bridges to Groombridge) just weeks before my 15th Birthday.

So this picture, taken sometime during November 1966 when I was still 14, was taken by Michael (Jock) Carlin one of the two regular signalmen there. There were a small group of us who regularly went out to Rowfant to work the signal box after school and on Saturday mornings.
