Deer Oh Deer, What Is This?

Having travelled almost to the most northerly point in Scotland without seeing deer, I spotted on the top of this mountain, at approx. 1000m, this deer on the horizon.


It was absolutely minute, I used my biggest lens 300mm(as I'm only a beginner) and was completely still, resting on the open window. This was the best I could manage but I was thrilled to see four when I put it onto the iPad, as I thought I only had two :-)


I don't know what's going on with its legs!!
I think they are all youngsters as no antlers visible, and why it's doing a fabulous impression of a HORSE I can't explain :-)


I did see a couple later on the journey with small antlers but I thought this would be more memorable!!
