J and the Panda

Early start today as we wanted to get to the zoo. The Spanish Slither had managed to get us tickets to the zoo and more importantly the Pandas. There was a competition running this weekend where you had to find the letters on the eggs in some of the enclosure.
Saw the new Meerkat enclosure before heading further in. Managed to see the penguins. Found one that wasn’t too clever as it spent ages following the shadow of my finger around the enclosure. Great fun and worth the entrance fee just for that.
Next up were the Pandas. The boy was a sleep but the girl panda was up and eating, unfortunately with her back to us. Obviously not over her artificial insemination just yet.
Had picnic on the grass outside the penguin enclosure and waited for the slither and family to return.
Walked up to the top of the zoo to collect the rest of the letters before leaving. We were just working out what all the letters re-arranged to spell, what Meerkat’s eat, when they were fed. Nice yellow chick. HAPPY EASTER.
Bus ride home which little V just managed to stay awake for before having pizza for tea and watching Despicable Me 2 which we had borrowed from DR. Great day.
