Olivia the Star
My two little O's came over to spend the day with Papa and Nana today. Olivia LOVES visiting at our house now, she never stops smiling and exploring. She is very fond of this old wooden rocking chair that I bought at a flea market when Owen was her age. He never much cared for it one way or another. Whereas Olivia climbs up, sits down backwards, turns herself around, stands up on the seat, sits the right way and rocks back and forth. She can do more things with this thing than I thought possible.
Yesterday I spent the entire day working on my annual Christmas letter, which will probably get mailed around Tuesday, which is fine. Last night my Taxman and I rushed out to the neighbors spontaneous get-together and didn't get home until 2 a.m.! I can't believe we stayed up that late. So I clicked off some nonsensical shots and sat down to upload my blip...realizing when I saw the date that I had gone and missed another day. I went to bed with a pit in my stomach, feeling like a failure. Since I rarely stay up past midnight and I know that I must upload a blip before I sleep, it comes as a shock to miss a day.
Now we'll have take-out Chinese and relax by the fire before an early night to bed. Watching those two little O's is exhausting. But my heart is joyful.
