Colostrum

I had really hoped to breast feed Ethan but obviously this isn't a possibility at the moment. Instead, the midwives showed me today how to manually express my milk into a syringe, as apparently this is the best way to express the colostrum. I was a bit taken aback though to discover it comes out the colour of custard!

Ethan doing a bit better today. Still in intensive care but is off the ventilator, although on and off the CPAP to help with his breathing when he's tired.
