Durham

We had a good journey and arrived at lunchtime having shared the driving. An hour later and we were well organised and ready to tackle the sightseeing. We took the Park & Ride into the city and walked through this wondeful market square and up the hill tp the castle and the beautiful Cathedral. Although we hafe visited the Cathedral several times in the past, I'm ashamed to say I had forgotten just how beautiful it is.
The shot we have chosen to blip is the market square with St Nicholas Church, the Market Hall and the monument to the memory of Lord Londonderry who was the founder of Seaham Harbour.
The sun stayed with us until mid afternoon and it is dry and not cold .. .. .. yet!
