Brean from Brean Down

A day out with the some of the Grandchildren and we went up National Trust's Brean Down. We walked to the old fort built to protect us from the French and last used to protect us from a possible German invasion. And now we are all part of one big happy union! This is a view along the bay with caravan parks along its shore intermingled with farms and 60's bungalows. We enjoyed our day. We used to come here when we were little and stayed at a family friend's caravan. I seem to remember it had very few caravans off a country lane with milk and eggs direct from a farm . I suppose it was a long time ago!!! Hang on. I know it was a long time ago!
