Taking the waters

Ahh, back in Scarborough, my home town for nearly a quarter of a century. Despite the cold, foggy weather (let's call it bracing...) I loved walking by the sea, breathing that clean air, and listening to the 'white noise' of the waves.
It takes a move away, inland, to fully appreciate the seaside. I always enjoyed living by the sea, it was my daily drive to the office, but I was also a little puzzled that thousands of day trippers made the long journey to spend time here. Now I'm one of them, a 5 hour drive away no less! And its all worth it when you arrive. A daily drive to work I'd never take for granted ever again...
