China Town, Manchester...

Not one of your usual tourist pictures of China Town. The Imperial Chinese Arch is having a makeover. It's been covered in plastic while they do it. I could hear a lot of banging going on inside. I hope they are refreshing the paint while they are at it, it was looking a bit dull after so many years in the Manchester climate.

When it was originally built, artists came over from China to paint it. This was a great honour as Manchester is one of the few Dragon Cities in the West. A honour is shares with the like of Vancouver and San Francisco.
