Deer deer

Walking along the old road at a time when other walkers and their dogs were all away eating their lunch, we came upon two deer. They were crossing the road ahead of us, and though they were apparently unaware of our presence, we couldn't really get close enough for a decent photo.

I'm always struck by how large deer are, and how glad I am that they're not fierce. They certainly make a mess of a car if one hits them.
