Red-whiskered Bulbul

A quiet day shopping for clothes for our little boy. It doesn't really matter where in the world I may be, clothes shopping is still something I find borderline necessary and hence a chore to get over and done with in the shortest possible time. So I probably paid far too much, chose something utterly unpractical and in a style that our boy will hate. Still, our daughter found a 'Toys R Us' which kept her amused for a while, choosing a toy that we could just as easily have bought in Edinburgh. I suspect one's financial guards are a lot less strict when on holiday.
This bird is a Red-whiskered Bulbul which frequents around my parents live.
