Achamore Gardens, Ghia

The great Easter weather continues and we just had to make the most of it and get out in the sun.

A trip over to Ghia is usually on our yearly planner, but never as early as April. Its usually too cold and windy to go walkabout on this lovely island so early in the year. However, today was the exception and we had a lovely time taking in the wonderful scenery and having a wee picnic in the shelter of Achamore Gardens. The gardens have one of the biggest collections of rhododendrons in the World and quite a number of them were already out, probably brought on earlier by the very mild Winter.

Well worth a visit, particularly at this time of the year.
