Joshua Tree Day 1 - Neon signs

After an early start we were on our way to San Diego, CA for our 10 day trip to the Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs. Even though we left Newark about an hour late we arrived pretty much on schedule. We picked up our car rental and after a quick stop at Costco started our way up to Joshua Tree. The journey took about 2 1/2 hours and we arrived at the fantastic house at about 5pm.

The house we rented for the first part of the trip was very rustic but a photography dream - lots of neon signs, rusty old cars, a bottle house and so much more. I was shattered when we arrived and after unpacking and getting us organized I really did not have the energy to take any photos! Thankfully hubby convinced me that I really should get set up for some sunset shots. The sunset turned out to be pretty amazing and this shot was captured at the back of the property by one of the neon signs.

Over the course of our trip I took over 5000 photos, so as you can imagine it will take some time to go through! (we took over 13, 000 between me, hubby and little big girl).
