Off to York

Off to York with Polly & Matt (eldest daughter & husband) to see Rosie, our youngest daughter who is a 3rd year student at York St John’s & just finishing her dissertation (Faith schools – socially divisive or cohesive?). Had to visit the sights, here’s the much photographed Minster.

What the outside masks is the deep foundations, constantly being reinforced, which display Bible texts of why the Minster was first established – to be a mission base. Go and make disciples. So York Minster was never really intended as a place of worship but a place of mission.
