Beautiful spring day....

This pot of phlox divarculata with its fragrant, periwinkle blooms was an Easter gift from an grand old friend... we were in college together many years ago.
In front of the pedestal the iris colony pokes its leaves up. Those flowers will bloom periwinkle blue also. The gift-pot of flowers will get planted in a shady, moist place where I can watch it from the kitchen window.
