A Bumblebee on the Berberis

We have several of these shrubs, one situated outside the sitting room window where I tend to sit. Earlier on I mentioned to John about the number of bees working the blossom, later this afternoon he wandered around the garden with the camera (the big lens in place) and produced the above shot.

I popped (HA) into the village to look in on The Daffodil Tea held in the village church hall. It was great to get out and even better to talk.......... I was given a chair and the job of asking people to guess the name of a sheep - made by one of the organisers and looked very good but forgot to blip it - at 50p a go.

The afternoon was successful, great attendance and excellent looking cakes that the People of Dervaig do so well. And then a lift home with C and T to have a cup of tea with their wonderful cream meringues. Another sunny warm day with a light breeze just to remind us that it's not summer time yet.
